The December 2020 issue of FlyPast features a close-up air-to-air view of North American TF-51D Mustang ‘Contrary Mary’, shot by Darren Harbar during a photo sortie with Sywell-based Ultimate Warbirds. The art of air-to-air photography is a very skill specific pursuit, and certainly not for the faint-hearted. Darren, an acclaimed lensman with a vast variety of experience, has been shooting covers for FlyPast for many years. In our exclusive feature he reflects on his extraordinary career to date, and shares some of his images along with a few ‘trade secrets’.

FLYPAST CLASSICS – ARADO AR 234
The Arado Ar 234 was one of several innovative designs produced by Germany in the last years of World War Two.
