But far from the Volkswagen situation dominating this edition, it’s our annual 4x4 and off-road issue, with a comprehensive feature identifying all of the different types and styles of four-wheel-drive, as well as the technology behind them explained. We’ve also been off-roading in some classic Land Rovers and Range Rovers, and you could, too, at Land Rover’s new Heritage Experience centre at Fen End. Camp Jeep sees owners of the legendary vehicles meet up from all over Europe, and we went to the event to see what goes on, including some of the most extreme off-roading that you’ll ever experience. And finally, with the sun setting on Land Rover Defender production, we take a look at some of the most weird and whacky conversions over the vehicle’s 67 year history.
