In this 84-page issue of ‘Aviation News incorporating Classic Aircraft’ magazine we pay tribute the VC10 which is due to retire from the RAF in September this year. An article looks back over its RAF service and another examines the type’s career serving with airlines. We also travel back to the Cold War with the first in a two-part feature on United States Air Force Europe’s aggressor squadron that was based in the UK, first at Alconbury and then Bentwaters.
