Professional Photo  |  Issue 201
Issue 201 is Out Now!
The latest issue of Professional Photo has an environmental feel, to both mark the COP 27 conference taking place this month and to celebrate the fact that so many professional photographers are playing their part in terms of raising awareness of green issues. One of those making his voice heard in a big way is US photographer Nick Brandt, whose striking projects over the years have drawn attention to the pressure that wildlife, particularly in Africa, is increasingly coming under. His latest work is bringing together displaced people and animals, and his work features on our cover this month, with an exclusive interview inside. We’ve also caught up with farmer’s wife turned professional photographer Amy Bateman, whose brilliant new project, Forty Farms, is shining a light on how fellow farmers in Cumbria are coping with the demands to produce food efficiently while still maintaining the highest of environmental and ethical standards. Also contributing some stunning landscape work this month is young photographer Jack Lodge, who is telling us how, after effectively running two careers alongside each other for several years, he’s finally made the call to turn full time professional. We’re also looking at filters, with a comprehensive Buyers’ Guide, while Nikon Creator Alfie Bowen is talking us through how he’s managed to harness his autism to create exceptional fine art wildlife studies of creatures found around the UK’s wildlife parks and zoos. Reviews this month include the exciting new Fujifilm X-H2 40MP flagship and, still on the Fujifilm theme, we’re taking the latest X-mount Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 on a day out to an air show to see how it performs.
