Issue 206 is out now
You could end up doing a double take when confronted by the cover of our latest issue! Shot by our Portfolio star Elena Paraskeva, we’re taking a detailed look at the work of a Cyprus-based photographer who has an unsettling surrealistic approach, and enjoys posing her audience a choice
selection of visual puzzles.

By way of stark contrast, our Project interview this month sees us catch up with humanitarian photographer Peter Caton, whose career centres around throwing a spotlight on to the often-under-reported suffering of those who find themselves facing poverty and hardship through no fault of their own. We’re focusing on Peter’s work in South Sudan, where the population has been through years of civil war, which in recent times has been exacerbated by terrible flooding that’s been intensified through the effects of global warming. Issue 206 also has something of a fine art feel, as we throw the spotlight on three photographers who have all tapped into this genre in different ways. Alex Boyd has married vintage cameras with the Victorian wet collodion process to create dream-like landscape studies that perfectly for his artistic approach, while Therese Asplund has added a fine art edge to her stunning commercial portrait work and Simon Plant has set up an online shop as he looks to build his print sales. Fascinating feedback, and plenty of food for thought here.

Elsewhere we’re welcoming our new columnist, acclaimed wildlife photographer Andy Rouse, on board, while we’re also reviewing the exceptional Canon EOS R6 II, testing out the powerhouse new Aero 16 OLED laptop from Gigabyte and reporting back on the latest GeForce RTX 40 series of GPUs from NVIDIA, which is helping to drive the current explosion in AI. It’s an issue that’s just full of essential content, so come and join us, and get reading!
