I have received a number of emails and phone calls from people who attended the 25th Annual Nuenen International Stationary Engine Rally and by all accounts the show was a great success, exceeding the expectations of most who attended. To mark this special occasion I have decided that the majority of the pictures of the engines featured in Tim Macaire’s show report will be those of the “slidevalve” genre, which was this year’s Themed Engine section. This does not however, detract from the fact that all the engines on show were worthy of a mention, but alas space, or to be more precise a lack of space, does not permit this. I will therefore be featuring other engines seen at Nuenen 2013 in a later edition.
