We loved every minute of compiling the list of top twenty pheasant shoots for this issue. It involved speaking to lots of people who love shooting around the UK, and sharing stories about high birds, fabulous lunches, great shoot hosts and remote corners of our wonderful countryside. And the more we talked the more we got excited about the months ahead; the very heart of the shooting season. And yes we have cherry-picked twenty of the very best shoots, but the reality is there are hundreds of shoots of all sizes out there, so don’t be disheartened if you haven’t visited any on our list. After all, there’s no such thing as a bad day’s shooting.
