Once you’ve realised that the front cover isn’t actually creased and it’s all part of the design, you’ll be able to check out the all-new Q3, which is edgier and altogether more interesting than the designs that have come before it. Also vying for space within the news section is the Bentley EXP15, which gives a glimpse into the future of the luxury brand. We’ve got first photographs of the European edition of the Kia EV5, pictures of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, and details of the facelifted Genesis GV60. The 500 Hybrid is revealed – the car that Fiat said it would never produce – alongside the first details of Nissan’s upgraded and more efficient e-Power system that will be found under the bonnet of the Qashqai within weeks. We’ve got the first details about Toyota’s Land Cruiser turbodiesel with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and news about the upgrades made to Apple CarPlay thanks to the latest iOS 26 software. Completing the news section this month is the Nissan Leaf, alongside the dual motor Vauxhall Grandland eAWD.

Our testers have been behind the wheel of the Dacia Bigster Hybrid, the Audi Q5 TDI, facelifted Skoda Enyaq and Jeep Avenger 4xe mild hybrid, as well as the Volkswagen Tayron eHybrid and updated Suzuki Vitara. We also welcome a particularly bright Abarth 500e to the long-term fleet, as well as a Honda CR-V e:HEV and Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid.

This month we’ve got a really interesting feature about all of the major tyre makers and who owns what, we feature the Citroën C5 Aircross in this month’s used car buyer’s guide, and focus on three generations of the Ford Focus diesel. Audi’s Q5 TDI and TFSI e feature alongside the Lexus NX hybrid and plug-in hybrid in secondhand shootout, and we ask whether the Range Rover Velar is a hero or a zero. This is in addition to all of your other favourite features including The Doctor, Motorgrump, Fully Equipped, Bright Spark, and the most up-to-date data section in the magazine business.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Revisto 21 agosto 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.

Diesel Car & Eco Car

Best magazine out there. there is still room for improvement however. Revisto 18 março 2020

Very Informative

Appears to be a great publication. Wish I could get it in print in the states. Revisto 24 novembro 2012
