CEMEX, the Mexican cement giants decided a couple of years ago that they would close their inherited angling section and split up their incredible portfolio of venues collected over the past 50-plus years by Ready Mix Concrete's Leisure Sport Angling! It was a blow that shocked the carp angling world and left us in dismay. We had been spoilt for half a century, taking for granted the huge list of top class venues available under a single cheap ticket in many cases. We faced an uncertain future, and we were all very worried that in the wrong hands our special venues, even our special fish themselves, could be gone forever.
