Woodturning is read by turning enthusiasts in over 60 countries worldwide and is packed with projects, features on turners around the world, tests and reviews, as well as news, letters and tips. Our projects cater for varying levels of ability, so there is something for everyone, from beginner to professional.
The March issue of Woodturning features a Moonrise sculpture; turned table leg extensions; a contemporary vase; three candle holder designs; a natural-edge box and a supported box.
In terms of techniques, we have the first in a new series on ‘Turning know-how’ and look at the techniques used for making a sculpture.
Features in issue 250 include a profile on Barry Uden, followed by a 20 minute interview with Jim McLain and this month, Cheryl Samuel is our Featured Artist.
Our kit & tools section includes a mini test on the Wivamac bowl turning attachment for DB series lathes followed by a test on the Microclene MC280 filter. In the Hot Stuff section we have book reviews and latest products, plus all our usual community pages.
