It might seem as if the marine hobby has been around for ever, but it is surprisingly young. Alf J Nilsen tells us what, in his opinion, are the important milestones in the history of marine aquaria in Europe in From Graveyard to Biology. Coming right up to date, Richard Aspinall gets his hands on one of TMC's new Optiwhite systems, and finds it very much to his liking.
On the technical side, Tomas Cornwell gives us a good insight into dealing with a very bothersome pest – one that causes many problems in our aquaria – in Aiptasia Control, while Alex Arlett-Johnson guides us through the processes and equipment necessary for Culturing Live Food for your Reef and Fish Larvae at Home.
