old feelings for the single mum are reignited. ‘Leanne can see he’s in a tremendous amount of pain and has lost everything, so she wants to help him,’ says Ben Price, who plays the stressed-out businessman. ‘She does his fighting for him with Robert, and reminds him of what he was when they met, and what he has always been. ‘Leanne was Nick’s first love, and there’s a part of you that never forgets that feeling. But he’d never expect her to take him back, because she isn’t broken enough. ‘Nick and Carla were both broken, but Leanne is steady now. She’s found her place in the Street, so he thinks, “Why would she want this half-man?”’
