Hi and welcome to issue 55 of Transliving International.

In this issue, we feature Amanda Richards from America on the front cover. Amanda shares with us her photos and tells us all about her journey as a t-girl and her makeover-service business.

This issue also includes a report with photos from our Laguna Bournemouth Weekend from last December which again was another enjoyable and successful weekend.

We also feature Defy Models, which is a new modelling agency catering for the transgender community only, and is the first of its kind in the UK. I have spoken with the founder, Mark, at great length on several occasions and he has lots planned for the future. Transliving are also planning to get involved with some of it, but for now, if you fancy yourself as a model but have always allowed your trans status to put you off, or indeed have been refused work because of it, then please do check the feature out on Defy Models in this issue and make contact with them.

One feature included this time is Sexual Health, and it is something that we should all be geared up on and pay extra attention to, particularly if you are not in a monogamous long term relationship. I know that the discussion of sex is somewhat still a taboo subject within our community and many prefer not to discuss it, but my motto is; ‘if you're doing it then enjoy doing it but at least know the facts about Sexual Health and that you're safe!’
