Where on earth is Garah some readers might ask? The tiny hamlet is located 720 rail kilometres from Sydney, on the Moree – Camurra – Weemelah (formerly Mungindi) line in north-west NSW. Garah also boasts a grain storage facility, operated by GrainCorp, which helps keep the line alive. John Hoyle reports.
