Professional Photo Magazine Issue 194 Vorige editie

1 Beoordelingen   •  English   •   Art & Photography (Photography)
The latest issue of Professional Photo has a decidedly fine art feel, with a gorgeous Old Master-influenced portrait by Barbara MacFerrin gracing the cover. Inside we’re featuring a full interview with the photographer who is creating such a buzz at the moment, and we’re discovering the story behind her distinctive style and hearing how it’s helping her to build an international reputation. We’re also catching up with renowned car photographer Tim Wallace, who has recently completed a project that presented him with a very different set of challenges. Tasked with documenting the work of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Tim had to undergo specialist training to enable him to be part of the team. The result is a set of incisive portraits that show what life on the front line is really like for a rarely-photographed emergency service. Meanwhile we’re welcoming on board our new regular columnist Chris Ord, who will be talking through essential lighting technique for the professional, while brand new Hasselblad Heroine Lisa Devlin is sharing her thoughts on what life is like for females working in the profession. Our big review in this issue is the mighty new Nikon flagship Z 9, and our reviewer, seasoned Nikon user Kingsley Singleton, has been using it in earnest on a number of pro jobs and is giving his insight on how it’s performed. We’re also looking at the exciting new AEOS II LED light from Rotolight, and are finding out how LED technology is rapidly changing the lighting landscape.
