The year may be marching on, but this month's issue of Diesel Car is one that most readers look forward to, where we specialise in engine tuning and economy motoring. There's an in depth guide to everything you need to know about the art of tuning and getting the best power and economy balance from your car, including a feature on a very special ABT modified Audi A6 BiTDI and a pair of Volvo S60s - one that is tuned and is fully backed by the manufacturer. We also take a look at whether it's worthwhile going down the sub-100g/km CO2 emissions route as opposed to buying the same vehicle that isn't quite so clean. Our experts give you the low down on what to expect.
Also, we finally get behind the wheel of the new Ford B-MAX, drive a pair of hot BMWs - the 125d M Sport and X6 M50d - and test the new Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. We pitch a pair of frugal warm hatches against each other - the Peugeot 208 and Citroën DS3 - and MINI's Roadster goes head to head with the Peugeot 207 CC. We also test the Toyota Yaris 1.4 D-4D and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, powered by the mid-range 2.0-litre MultiJet engine boasting 138bhp.
