AMD THREADRIPPER
AMD has just commenced its second assault against Intel’s mighty fortress, this time taking aim at the high-end CPU market. This time it hasn’t just matched Intel’s number of cores for less money, but actually surpassed Intel’s current flagship Core i9 processors. The latest Threadripper chips are equipped with up to sixteen cores (thirty two threads) and still come in at under a grand. They’re also absolutely huge.
