200 CLASSICS DAMAGED IN DEALER FIRE
More than £3 million worth of classic cars have been destroyed in a rampant fire that have left a family homeless. Alex and Faye Morse escaped the blaze with their three children after son Bono, aged 14, alerted them to the fire. The Norfolk-based business lost at least £3m worth of vehicles in the fire, which they believe was caused by a faulty electrical meter. ‘We lost the buildings, the cars, the tools, the home we lived in, everything,’ says Alex, owner of restoration firm A and F Classics. ‘We had Panhard Levassors, a Rolls-Royce Phantom I, Rolls-Royce Twenty, Maserati 3500 GT, Maserati Indy, two 1959 Mercedes 190SLs, even a 1935 Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire that belonged to Harold Macmillan.’
