From its maiden flight at the end of 1970, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat became the US Navy’s fleet air defence fighter. It served with 28 fleet squadrons, two fleet replacement squadrons, two test squadrons, and the Naval Fighter Weapons School dubbed TOPGUN.

The second edition of F-14 Tomcat: Tales from the Cockpit, a 116-page special produced by the team behind AirForces Monthly, updates the 2020 version with an additional 16 pages.
