Classic Bus  |  Aug/Sep 2026 (204)
We have more on Dennis Dominators in this issue, as David Toy remembers his experiences with the type in Sussex, Surrey and north of the border; we also have David Beilby showing us a Merthyr one that went to Chester. Then join us in finding out about Perkins engined Bristol LHs in Scotland, going to school on Southdown buses in the 1950s, and on a holiday to Great Yarmouth in 1964. Mike Fenton takes a look at coachwork by Waveney in the 15th of our Classic Coachbuilders series, while Richard Delahoy shows us some Southend buses, but with branding only on the fronts and (sometimes) backs!
We’re underneath the brooding mass of Bamburgh Castle on the Northumberland coast in our delve into The Bus Archive this time, and on the opposite side of the country, we take a look at 30ft Titans on the Isle of Man. We also feature more postcards of bus stations, postcards from abroad and more tributes to the Prince of Wales (Wilfred Pickles got a similar treatment, it turns out!), and we visit the brand new Zero2 bus museum in Essex.
Plus there’s our popular, lively and well-illustrated Forum section with topics ranging far and wide, and a look at some new books.
