Betty Boo is back and she’s BOOMIN’!

Celebrating her comeback with this month’s cover feature, we catch up with the lady herself about her return to music and take a trip down memory lane, revisiting her time with the She Rockers, nights out with Madonna, and her decision to leave it all behind at the height of her success.

Also in this month’s issue, a-ha open up about returning to their Norwegian roots on their 11th album ‘True North’, which was recorded live on a soundstage with the Arctic Philharmonic, while The Communards’ Richard Coles celebrates the 35th anniversary of his and Jimmy Somerville’s second and final album ‘Red’, as he reflects on their enduring legacy.

It’s one of a number of milestones we mark this month: songwriter and producer Steve Anderson revisits working with Kylie Minogue on her classic album ‘Impossible Princess’, which turns 25 this year; Kevin Rowland discusses returning to the studio to tweak Dexys Midnight Runners’ ‘Too-Rye’Aye’ for the album’s 40th anniversary reissue; and Anastacia reflects on the first two decades of her career as she embarks on her belated 20th anniversary tour.

Plus, Hi-NRG legend Hazell Dean looks back on her biggest hits ahead of the 40th anniversary of Searchin’ (I Gotta Find A Man) next year, while America’s premier producer and remixer Dave Audé talks working with the biggest and best names in pop.

All that and more in the latest issue of Retro Pop!
