Developed from the TR4A, the TR5 brought six cylinder power to a model constrained by its ageing four cylinder unit, and the TR6 revamped a body that was starting to look old hat by the end of the decade. In this form, the separate chassis TR line would last util 1975 – over two decades after the first TR2 showed us just what a British sports car could be.
