Good Looking Carp Comp Gets Everyone Talking!
As announced last month we have teamed up with The Good Looking Carp Page on Facebook to bring you a monthly competition to determine the best looker of 2013.
Post your picture up on their page and we will decide upon a monthly winner and a few near misses to be featured in Big Carp. The winner not only wins the chance to have an article published in BC but goes forward to the grand finale where one winner picked by you guys will have a fantastic painting of his catch by our own artist famous for the legendary carp painting series. Runners up in the final will get Big Carp subscriptions and a whole heap of carp books. All you have to do is ‘Like’ the Big Carp Magazine page and tell us your favourite.
Speaking of Facebook, we began posting adverts booked in BC every week, both on Facebook and Twitter – a free addition to everyone seeing their advert in the mag and on the App. We estimated a reach of at least 10,000 a week… WRONG! First week and we already had a reach of 38,000 carpers according to Facebook statistics and this figure did not include at least 4,000 on our Twitter page!
