Celebrating issue #200! We’re proud to reach this milestone. Damned proud.

Looking back over the first 34 years has brought out a range of emotions.

Brum passed in 2020, Craig Pattison passed in 2021, Mike Hess retired in 2023, and now Doc Robinson has retired.

Because she spent the longest time working alongside Doc, we invited Viv to put together a few words. She has also shared selected memories of her time keeping Brum on track for deadlines.

From the current crew, we asked David Cohen for the highlights of his history to date, and Craig Fryers for his favourite covers.

Those of us still putting in the hours aren’t planning to go anywhere just yet. There are plenty of new models to explore while enjoying our own bikes. More rides to knock over and roads to explore.

Speaking of new models, Paul has just returned from the launch of the 2025 Softail range with tales of better this, better that, and overall, a better package.

The new Royal Enfield Classic 650 has already gained a following for its classic styling and we despatched Jeff to bring us the inside story on what it’s like to ride.

A highlight for us in this issue is the Silver Bullet. This is the actual bike built by Harley City and featured in our first issue. Now it’s back in the safe keeping of David Reidie and his Harley City Collection.

All of this as well as our regular features from John ‘Westy’ Rooth and Mick ‘Busted Hand’ Withers.

HEAVY DUTY Magazine 200 is on sale Monday 5th May in better newsagents and bike shops across Australia and New Zealand.
