Seed bead embellishments add an extra bit of sprinkle to our lavish cakes. Use a sharp needle to sew the beads onto the stitching, as this makes it easier to push the needle through the fabric. Pick a sewing cotton in a matching colour to the stitching under the bead and attach with a half cross stitch. We think this design would be lovely to stitch as a gift for a keen baker's kitchen – or perhaps for someone just launching their own cake-making business.
