May 2025 issue of Airliner World, incorporating Airports of the World, is a US special celebrating 100 years of Delta Air Lines. Editor Thomas Haynes takes a deep dive into the history and current operations of America’s oldest airline.

In the first of a two-part special, our second US feature covers the often overlooked story of Braniff International Airways’ brief dalliance with Concorde. We explain how the iconic airline used the supersonic airliner on domestic US flights.

Staying across the pond, Edward Paine reports on Air Greenland and the airline’s renewed optimism as the country opens new airports and extends its runway capacity. Meanwhile, Chris Sloan ventures to Bermuda to be charmed by the territory’s first commercial airline, BermudAir.

Stepping onboard, Andreas Spaeth investigates Lufthansa’s new benchmark-setting Allegris cabins. Meanwhile, assistant editor Lee Cross heads to Exeter for a behind-the-scenes look at the cabin upgrade of its Embraer E190 fleet.

Two of our more obscure features see Andreas Rohde head to the far south of the African continent to step back in time aboard Springbok Classic Air’s Immaculately maintained Beechcraft Model 18. Heading from South Africa to one of the remotest airports in the world, Matteo Legnani hops aboard an Airlink Embraer E190 and travels to Saint Helena International Airport to learn more about the airport’s operations.

Finally, Ian Harbison details the ambitious five-year expansion plans of Etihad Engineering and Joramco, two of the leading independent MRO providers in the Middle East.
